Ben-Gurion University announces robotics scholarships for PhD students

Ben-Gurion University (BGU) has announced scholarships for ABC Robotics Initiative doctoral students to advance multidisciplinary research and development in robotics. The initiative aims to advance innovative multidisciplinary robotics research at BGU in the fields of agricultural, biological and cognitive robotics.

The university aims to bring together senior and junior researchers from different disciplines, such as robotics, computer science, cognitive science, neuroscience, biopsychology and physiology.

According to the university, the scholarship is based on department and advisor matching and covers tuition fees and a monthly stipend. The scholarship provides each applicant with a stipend of NIS 5,544 per month for a duration of 4 years.

Eligible applicants must have completed a master’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, natural sciences, health, management, or social sciences with a thesis. Experience in artificial intelligence, robotics, cognitive science and programming is an advantage

The closing date for applications for students who have registered for the upcoming academic year is July 20, 2022. Applicants applying before the above closing date will be notified no later than September 15, 2022.
