A new fan poster for Avengers: Kang Dynasty shows Jonathan Majors’ Kang standing over a slew of dead Avengers, including Spider-Man, Cap, and more.
A fan poster for Avengers: Kang Dynasty shows just how ruthless Kang the Conqueror can be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the recent Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige revealed that the avengers the franchise will reunite again in 2025 for Phase 6, serving as a sequel to Avengers: Endgame. Additionally, the film is expected to be directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton.
Played by Jonathan Majors, Kang was originally featured as ‘He Who Remains’ on Disney+ Season 1 Loki. Although her character was ultimately killed off by Sylvie (Sophia Marie Di Martino), another variant was teased for taking over the Time Variance Authority at the end of the season. Majors will reprise his role as Kang in the Coming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniawhich is slated for release in 2023, before playing a larger role in the next two Avengers films.
In a recent post on Instagram, the digital artist venomology shares his perspective on the imminent arrival of Kang the Conqueror. The fan-made poster features the Avengers logo in the background, placed behind Kang in a non-verbal body pose, depicting dominance. While embodying his iconic neuro-kinetic battle armor, Kang is seen standing above the rubble with the murdered bodies of the alleged new team of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Check the message below:
The fan poster eerily shares an uncanny resemblance to a familiar scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron, where Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is seen haunted by a dark vision induced by Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), where he hallucinated disturbingly upon seeing his dead teammates. Although Tony’s apocalyptic vision didn’t necessarily come to fruition fruiting in Avengers: Endgame, as he sacrificed himself to save the universe, the Infinity Saga resulted in the tragic deaths of many of the MCU’s revered heroes at the hands of Thanos (Josh Brolin). Therefore, this poster puts Kang’s threat abilities and possibilities into perspective within the grand reckoning of the multiverse.
Although he was confirmed as the main antagonist of Avengers: Kang Dynasty, it’s still unclear how well Kang’s villainous variants will play to wrap up Phase 6 of the MCU. The poster only gives a hypothetical glimpse of the death of Kang’s presence for the Avengers in the future. For now, it looks like the new entourage of heroes will have a tough battle ahead of them, with audiences able to tune in to Kang comeback soon in the third installment next year The ant Man.
