Others, like Season 16 runner-up Caleb Lee Hutchinson, felt relieved not to hear their names called winners. Blake spoke bluntly about how Idol treated its second-place contestants, saying: “‘American Idol’ doesn’t give two cents about us after we’re not on the show unless you get #1.
