Before becoming a much-loved Hollywood villain star of the 1980s, Robert Davi’s first big breakthrough in movies was a role in Frank SinatraThe 1977 film Contract on Cherry Street. While traveling in a limo with others, they ended up going to Fiorillo, the same joint the actor had been fired from.

And it turns out their group included a member of one of New York’s notorious Mafia crime families.

Davi shared: “Now there was another gentleman in the car and I won’t mention his name but he was a captain in the Gambino family. So we walked into the restaurant and the manager who fired me became The guy that was with us, he said, “I’ll be right back” and took the manager aside – they disappeared for a while. About 10 minutes later, he comes back with an envelope and he says: ‘Take it, it is for you.’ »

David added: “Yes. Sinatra has always been a fan of the Bonds. I used to have lunch with Cubby Broccoli, Sidney Korshak and Frank Sinatra, three very powerful men. Even Michael G Wilson said “FS” was a nod to Frank Sinatra. Same number of letters in the name my Bond villain Franz Sanchez has.
