Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 Story Details Teased By Star

Kim Raver teases what’s to come in Season 19 of Grey’s Anatomy after Teddy and Owen’s shock decision to leave in the season finale.

Kim Raver teases what viewers can expect Grey’s Anatomy season 19. The show’s recent finale changed the status quo in a major way, with the Gray Sloan Memorial residency program losing its accreditation. Several doctors leave, at least temporarily, with Meredith positioned as the only one who can save the hospital. This raised many questions about What Grey’s Anatomy season 19 will look like when it premiered in October. The teaching scenes are an important part of the show, so it’s hard to imagine it working without them.

Additionally, the fates of two main characters are up in the air after the finale. In arguably its most shocking scene, Teddy (Raver) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) flee Seattle after Bailey is informed that Owen has been providing sick veterans with the medicine they need to die with dignity. With the last two seen on a plane with their children, it’s unclear exactly how the characters will come back in Grey’s Anatomy season 19especially since they could lose their medical license and even end up in jail.

In an interview with PeopleRaver teased what will happen when Grey’s Anatomy returns in the fall. She said in part “Season 19 is going to be crazy. It is as if the bomb exploded and what would be the fallout? What show can pull off 19?Raver was also asked about Teddy and Owen and if they’ll be back in Season 19:

I mean, look, I hope that’s not how we end up. There’s still a lot to be said for these two. But you never know. You need to keep everyone eager to log in at the end of September. I just think there are still stories to be told.

As Raver avoids confirming that Teddy and Owen will come back in Grey’s Anatomy season 19, it seems likely. For one thing, there’s no indication that Raver or McKidd are leaving the show, and that kind of casting news often comes out immediately after a season finale. In addition, the two actors were part of Grey’s Anatomy for many years – McKidd for fourteen seasons and Raver for eight. While the show has no problem killing off characters when the cast comes out, there’s usually some sort of closure, especially for those who have been on the show for as long as Teddy and Owen. It would be quite amazing to Grey’s Anatomy to complete their journey as it currently stands.

As Raver says, there are still plenty of stories for Teddy and Owen. After wasting their time for decades, they have only recently settled into married life with their children, which provides a wealth of storytelling opportunities. Grey’s Anatomy could also follow the inevitable legal battle when Owen and Teddy are found or choose to return. The challenge will be to make it different from Meredith’s fight for her medical license in Season 16, though the show will likely find a way to do that. Hopefully Raver and his comrades will have more to say on Grey’s Anatomy season 19 In the coming months.
