Benedict Cumberbatch played Doctor Stephen Strange since the 2016 solo film, appearing in a total of six films and one television show (the animation What if…?). More recently, he returned for this month of May Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The strange doctor The sequel is set to debut on Disney+ on June 22.
Beginning their partnership in 2012 with sets based on The Avengers, LEGO, and Marvel have released many sets centered around Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Drawing inspiration from comic books, video games, and the ongoing MCU, Marvel has released collectible figure depictions of heroes from Disney+’s Marvel series and released character-themed mech costumes for characters like than Black Panther and Wolverine. First revealed at LEGO’S LEGO-CON 2022 virtual event before being listed on the official LEGO Shopthere “sanctum sanctorumwill be released August 1, with a price of $249.99. Measuring over 12.5 inches high, 12.5 inches wide and 10.5 inches deep, the Sanctum Sanctorum is a sizable set. It includes no only Strange, Sinister Strange and Dead Strange (each played by Cumberbatch), Wong (Benedict Wong), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) to recreate moments from Multiverse of Madnessbut also features Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Ebony Maw (Tom Vaughan-Lawlor) to recreate Avengers: Infinity Waropening scenes. Along with a highly detailed replica of the Sanctum, the set also includes movable portals, flight stands, and smaller nods to the larger MCU, such as the Ten Rings logo graffiti. LEGO has previously held competitions around its Daily Bugle set, where fans have been invited to design their own Spider-Man covers for a chance to own the gigantic set. Like the recently revealed Sanctum Sanctorum, the Daily Bugle was built on LEGO’s Modular Building System, allowing both the Bugle and Sanctum to be displayed side-by-side. They can also be paired with LEGO’s own original modular building sets to create great street displays.
LEGO’s partnership with Marvel remains strong, with sets inspired by the sequel to come Thor: Love and Thunder recently released in time for the film’s premiere. The Sanctum Sanctorum is sure to catch the attention of LEGO and Marvel fans.
