Reality star Kim Richards has turned down Andy Cohen’s offer to return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and revealed what she would need to return.
Kim Richards turned down Andy Cohen’s offer to return to Bravo The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The child actor, known for his appearances in classic films like Disney’s Escape to Witch Mountainwent from script to reality when she signed on for the first season of RHOBH in 2010. After five seasons alongside her sister Kyle Richards and other original cast members, she was let go due to personal difficulties. However, Kim continued to make appearances on the show in seasons 6, 7, 9, and 10.
The public last saw Kim Richards moves the RHOBH story ahead in Season 10. The goofy personality stirred the pot with Brandi Glanville when they appeared on the show to reveal the latter and former cast member Denise Richards were having an affair. Now in season 12, viewers are hoping to see more of Kim, especially since her other sister Kathy Hilton is now a part of the show. While the Bravo lovers hope to see Kim, Kathy and Kyle share the screen together, it’s unclear if that will ever happen.
Kim Richards recently revealed to E ! New that she turned down an informal offer from Andy to return to RHOBH. Stating that the King of Bravo personally called her to discuss a potential comeback, Kim insists she didn’t want to turn down the big boss, but it just wasn’t the right time. Check out what the reality star had to say below:
“Having Andy call me was important. I know it was important for him to make the call, so I didn’t want to say ‘no’, because it wasn’t ‘no’. It was just that it was not the time for me. I came into this very respected field in my business. And of course, I made mistakes, but I no longer felt respected by the people I was with. I was working and then it didn’t suit me. I worked hard to love and respect myself today, so if I come back, I just have to feel that respect again.”
It’s clear that Kim isn’t completely closing the door on returning to RHOBH on a more regular basis. She went on to say that if she were to go back, she would need to feel respected by her fellow cast members. This includes her sisters Kyle, a forever full-time housewife, and Kathy, a new fan favorite. According to her, their rollercoaster relationship as a trio is currently in the right place, even though she doesn’t see Kyle much. Of course, that doesn’t mean Kim is ready to be on camera with the other La La Land ladies.
What’s most interesting about Kim’s comments is that Andy Cohen himself inquired about her comeback. While she may not be ready to return just yet, it’s exciting to know that the Bravo puppeteers hope to have the three Richards sisters on the show at some point. After all, the whole concept of The The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was originally rooted in their family dynamics. Whether or not the entertaining trio make a season’s headlines remains to be seen.
