Former West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard The remainder of the T20Is have been out of action after suffering a left knee injury at the start of Surrey’s campaign. Kieron Pollard has been ruled out of the T20 Blast but is expected to be fit to play in the Hundred in time. Despite treatment, he failed to improve significantly and so it was decided to seek a surgical opinion. Surrey County Cricket Club signed the former all-rounder last month for their T20 Blast campaign this season.
Kieron Pollard said: “It’s been extremely disappointing because we’ve been a major force and I felt like I was part of something special. But I wish you all the best for the rest of the campaign while I keep myself fit and firing again. Am.”
alec stewart“We are disappointed to have lost a player of quality to Kieron and wish him a speedy recovery,” the Director of Cricket at Surrey CCC said in an official statement.
“Despite treatment, he has failed to improve significantly and so it was decided to seek a surgical opinion. He has had this successful surgery. [Tuesday] morning that will keep him out of action for the next four to six weeks while he rehabilitates,” the statement added.
Surrey have five games left in the Vitality Blast group stages.
